About the artist
Jennifer Glover started as a freelance designer, illustrator and artist in 1996 after graduating from a Fine Art Embroidery Degree at The Manchester Metropolitan University. After designing greetings cards for Habitat, working at the Guardian, Meridian TV and creating an art installation for London Week, she rose to lead designer in an Oxfordshire studio. She set up her own design and marketing studio with her husband in 2000 and amongst others, they have worked with The Beaulieu Motor Museum, the BBC for Top Gear, Jetfly Aviation, Macmillan Education and The Guild of Fine Food.
In recent years, Jennifer has spent time looking after her 90-year-old mother-in-law who has Alzheimer’s. During this time she started painting in earnest again and moved to a beautiful cottage on the edge of The New Forest (which is just a short walk to Highcliffe Beach). Jennifer now creates her oil and watercolour paintings in her spare time. She adores exploring all mediums and is particularly interested in both drawing and painting from life in the classic Atelier style. She also loves a quirky character and many of her greetings cards feature cute dogs and puppies.
