There has been nothing better than taking the time to paint these sweet little jugs filled with beautiful wildflowers and the sunlight pouring in my little studio.

Ever since I was little, I've loved lavender, inspired by my Mother's enthusiasm for the heavenly scent and the delicate spikes of purple-blue hue.

And so this is where I am – trying to keep up with Spring. Greedily trying to paint, photograph and absorb all her delights – not knowing which to capture first as they have their brief moment in the spotlight.

Haven't violas got such charm? They're so delicate and inquisitive. I don't know who can resist their sweet little faces.
