Creating a Summer Floral Collection

For when your heart is (absolutely) in the country

I can't express how much I am proud of this gorgeous little collection of watercolour prints. Each one is framed, hand-torn and mounted in a thick archival board. To me they feel pretty unique and special – I hope you agree.

The collection itself was built up one summer, using many of the flowers I'd grown in my garden. I've collated these pieces so they can be mixed and match, work individually or in groups and I've played around for hours hanging different combinations together for shows – great fun! They have a nice impact when they are hung in a cluster and they really are unlike anything else.

Many of the flowers, like the peonies, poppies and the tulips, were grown from Sarah Raven bulbs and seeds. I just love her collections and the way she harmonises colours and shapes – she really is a plant-smith and I'm very inspired by the way she designs her garden (have you been? It really is a must!).

I put the prints together as a more affordable option for someone who wants to bring a touch of country cottage style and a pinch of summer magic into their home. Some of the originals paintings are also still available – email me if you're interested, or come visit the home gallery and pick something bespoke. There is far too much to put on the website – I'd be here all day!
